Directions to Teranka
Formentera is only accessible by sea, whether from the neighbouring island of Ibiza by ferry or private yacht charter, or from further afield by private yacht. Once on the island, it is a short journey to Teranka by our private transfer.
By ferry from Ibiza
The distance between Ibiza and Formentera is a mere 10 nautical miles. There very regular daily ferry crossings from the port of Ibiza to the port of La Savina in Formentera. During the summer, the frequency of sailings is usually increased, with more than 50 daily sailings.
The earliest Ibiza - Formentera boat normally departs from Ibiza at 07:00 in the morning and arrives in Formentera at around 07:30. The latest ferry departure is usually after midnight, reaching the port of Formentera at 01:40.
Tickets can be purchased in advance online from ferryhopper.com or direct from operators online including online in balearia.com and trasmapi.com or bought at the ferry terminal.
Yacht and small vessel charters
For day excursions from Ibiza to Formentera, and visits to Teranka, it is possible to charter yachts, motor boats and catamarans by the day from one of the many boat charter companies on Ibiza. Please let us know if you wish us to make arrangements.
Yacht anchorage
Visitors arriving in larger yachts should note that anchorage regulations are in place for boats, as anchoring amongst the Posidonia uproots the plants from the seabed. An anchorage surveillance and assistance service ensures that boat captains are aware of the importance of anchoring on the sand and not on Posidonia, and provide assistance with finding good anchorage, especially during the high season. Directions to Teranka
We provide a private meet and greet service at La Savina port, and private transfer to Teranka. Guests arriving at the port who wish to hire cars, cycles, or motorbikes from one of the hire companies at the port, should follow these directions from La Savina to Playa Migjorn and Teranka. This is a 12km journey that takes approximately 20 minutes by car on the PM-820 and 40 minutes by bicycle.
To explore the island, you can hire a vehicle from PROAUTO Rent a Car or motor bikes from Moto Rent Pujols.
